Safest Petrol Car In India: The 2026 Kia Seltos recently secured a 5-star safety rating in crash tests organised by Bharat NCAP (BNCAP). Notably, it has also left behind the Maruti Suzuki Victoris to become the safest petrol vehicle in the country, as per the scores it secured in the BNCAP crash tests. Let’s take a look at the safety ratings and safety features offered with the 2026 Kia Seltos, along with the Maruti Suzuki Victoris.
Kia Seltos Vs Maruti Suzuki Victoris: Safety Ratings
The new generation Kia Seltos has secured a total of 31.70 points out of a maximum of 32 points in terms of Adult Occupant Protection (AOP). Additionally, the Seltos has also secured a total of 45 points out of a maximum of 49 points in terms of Child Occupant Protection (COP). The Maruti Suzuki Victoris, on the other hand, secured 31.66 points out of a total of 32 points in adult safety, whereas it scored 43 points out of a total of 49 points for child occupant safety.

2026 Kia Seltos: Safety Features
The 2026 Kia Seltos comes packed with several advanced safety features. The new generation Seltos features six airbags, rear parking sensors, a rear view camera, ABS, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), hill start assist, all-wheel disc brakes, and ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard. The top-of-the-line variants of the 2026 Kia Seltos also feature a Level 2 ADAS suite.

Maruti Suzuki Victoris: Safety Features
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris is loaded with advanced safety features, and it is the first Maruti car to receive a Level-2 ADAS suite. The ADAS suite on Maruti Suzuki Victoris gets features such as lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitor, and more. Additionally, the SUV comes equipped with safety features such as a 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), an ISOFIX child seat mount, and three-point seat belts for all the passengers.
