Tesla Price In India:  Elon Musk-led Tesla has announced the opening of the first Tesla-approved body shop in Pune. The new body shop will provide service support to owners in Maharashtra, and it is expected to strengthen the brand’s after-sales service presence in the region. Customers in Pune and surrounding areas can also experience Tesla Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Model Y L models, as the brand has made them available in the region for test drives.

Tesla-Authorised Body Shop

The first Tesla-Authorised body shop in Pune will offer services such as collision repair and bodywork, and it will also offer genuine Tesla parts and repair processes. The body shop will also offer software-aware diagnostics, and customers can also get their vehicle serviced by trained technicians at the body shop. The new body shop is expected to reduce downtime for customers in Pune and in the wider Maharashtra region.

Tesla Model Y Premium RWD

The Tesla Model Y Premium RWD was launched in India in May 2026 at Rs 50.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Model Y Premium RWD draws power from a 64 kWh battery pack, and it has a WLTP-claimed range of 500 kilometres. The Model Y Premium RWD can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, and it has a top speed of 201 km/h. The Model Y RWD is also the first car by the brand to come equipped with the brand’s Full-Self Driving (FSD) capability. However, customers will be required to pay an additional amount of Rs 6 lakh to access the FSD package.

Tesla Model Y L

The brand launched the Model Y L in India in April 2026 for Rs 61.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Model Y L has a longer wheelbase than the standard Model Y, and it is powered by the same 62.5 kWh battery pack. However, the Model Y long wheelbase is the first Tesla car to feature a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup. It has a claimed WLTP range of 681 kilometres, and 288 kilometres worth of charge can be added in just 15 minutes using the Tesla Supercharger.
