Dhaula Kuan to Dharuhera Interstate Bus Service: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday (December 18, 2025) flagged off a new inter-state electric bus service between Dhaula Kuan in Delhi and Dharuhera in Haryana, marking a significant step toward enhancing the public transport network between neighbouring states. The new inter-state bus service, inaugurated in the presence of Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh, will particularly target daily commuters, including office workers, students, and industrial workers travelling between Delhi, Gurugram, Manesar, and Dharuhera, and will serve as a safe, reliable, and affordable alternative to private vehicles.
Dhaula Kuan-Dharuhera Interstate Bus Service: Departure Timings
Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) officials said that three fully electric buses will ply on the Dhaula Kuan-Dharuhera route in each shift. The table below gives you departure timings under the new service:

This initiative aligns with the Delhi government's broader strategy to promote sustainable transportation and reduce emissions, with a target of transitioning the entire DTC fleet to electric buses by 2026.

Dhaula Kuan-Dharuhera Interstate Bus Service: Routes Covered
The Dhaula Kuan-Dharuhera route will pass through Dhaula Kuan, the HR Rajokri Border, Gurugram, Kherki Daula, Rampura, Manesar, Panchgaon, Vyaspur YNR, Sidhrawali, and Dharuhera.
100 New Electric Buses Join DTC Fleet Too
The flag-off ceremony of the new inter-state electric bus service coincides with the induction of 100 new electric buses into the DTC fleet, bolstering sustainable transportation options. The new e-buses are equipped with modern amenities, including low-floor access, air conditioning, CCTV surveillance, panic buttons, and real-time tracking systems, ensuring a secure and comfortable journey for all passengers, including those with disabilities.

The latest addition takes the total e-bus count to 3,400, aligning with the government's goal to expand the fleet by 2026. Concurrently, initiatives are underway to establish EV charging infrastructure at bus depots, supporting the growing electric fleet.
