BYD Sealion 6 Mileage:  The BYD Sealion 6 has been spied testing on the Indian roads yet again. Notably, it was spied for the first time in February 2026, and the recently snapped test mule suggests that the brand might be planning on launching the vehicle ahead of popular car manufacturers Toyota and Maruti, which are also planning on bringing a Plug-In hybrid vehicle in the country. Let’s take a look at the features, engine specs, and design of the upcoming BYD Sealion 6.

BYD Sealion 6: Design

The BYD Sealion 6 features the brand’s ‘ocean aesthetics’ design language. It blends nature-inspired design elements with the traditional, rugged styling of an SUV. It features a sharp front face and split-style LED headlights. It also features a curved bonnet, vertically positioned large air vents, and a subtle bash plate on the front. On the sides, the sloping roofline is visible with 19-inch alloy wheels. On the rear, it gets a wiper, a roof spoiler, a prominent skid plate, and connecting LED taillights.

BYD Sealion 6: Features

The BYD Sealion 6 is one of the most technologically advanced SUVs in the world. It features a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen-based infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The SUV is packed with a 10-speaker Infinity sound system, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 7 airbags, a slew of advanced driver assistance systems, and more.

BYD Sealion 6: Engine Specs

The BYD Sealion 6 is powered by options of either a 1.5-litre petrol engine or a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. The petrol engine is paired with a Plug-in Hybrid system, and the brand offers options of either an 18.3 kWh battery pack or a 26.6 kWh battery pack with the SUV. The SUV is capable of generating a peak power output of up to 336 hp, and it can deliver an EV-only range of up to 140 kilometres with the 26.6 kWh battery pack. The SUV supports up to 18 kW of DC fast charging, and it also supports the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function. The Sealion 6 has a 60-litre fuel tank capacity, and it has a range of more than 1000 kilometres with a full tank.
