BMW Motorrad Price Increase Update: Citing ongoing cost pressures due to the Indian Rupee's depreciation against major global currencies, as well as rising input costs, BMW Motorrad India has announced a price hike of up to 6 per cent across its entire portfolio, effective January 1, 2026. This downturn stems from several forces, including the U.S. slapping 50 per cent tariffs on Indian exports and a concurrent exodus of foreign capital. Note that the price hike varies depending on the model and variant.
'Pressure from forex due to Indian Rupee's sharp depreciation against US dollar and Euro has not eased for several months now and the input costs of raw materials and logistics have been impacted. The planned price hike measure will ensure necessary profitability and continued value generation for the company as well as our dealer partners,' said Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India.
