2026 Volkswagen Taigun Facelift India:  The 2026 Volkswagen Taigun facelift has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2026 Taigun facelift comes equipped with several changes in terms of design, features, and powertrain. The Taigun competes against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Tata Sierra, Kia Seltos, and more such mid-size SUVs in the country. The Jagran Hitech team recently got a chance to spend some time with the newly launched Volkswagen Taigun facelift, and here’s our video review of the same.

2026 Volkswagen Taigun Facelift: Interior & Features

The 2026 Volkswagen Taigun facelift also features a new interior theme, while the overall cabin remains more or less the same. The Taigun facelift comes equipped with options of an all-black or grey-black cabin theme, a three-spoke steering wheel, and an upright dashboard. In terms of features, the biggest addition comes in the form of a Panoramic sunroof. As anticipated, the Taigun facelift also features rear massaging seats, a 10.1-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system with a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display with an in-built turn-by-turn navigation system. It also features ambient lighting, rain-sensing wipers, an automatic climate control system, cruise control, a wireless charger, and an auto-dimming IRVM. In terms of safety, the SUV by Volkswagen features 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), traction control, all-wheel disc brakes, a tyre pressure monitoring system, hill-hold assist, traction control, a rear-view camera, and parking sensors on the front and rear.

2026 Volkswagen Taigun Facelift: Engine

The 2026 Volkswagen Taigun facelift 2026 retains engine options offered with previous generation models. The SUV is still powered by either a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine or a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. However, the brand has introduced a new, 8-speed torque converter gearbox. The 1.0-litre can now be paired with a choice of either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed torque converter gearbox, whereas the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine is exclusively available with the 7-speed DCT gearbox. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol maxes out at 115 PS and 178 Nm, whereas the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine can generate a peak power and torque output of 150 PS and 250 Nm, respectively.
