2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift Vs Tata Nexon: The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift will be launched in a few hours in the country. The 2026 Brezza facelift has made waves with its 5-star safety rating ahead of its launch. Tata Nexon is one of the fiercest rivals of the Brezza facelift, and while it also has a 5-star safety rating, it is considered one of the safest in the segment. We have compared both of these compact SUVs in terms of their safety ratings to find out which one is safer. Let’s take a look.
2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Safety Ratings
As mentioned earlier, the 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift has scored a 5-star rating in crash tests organised by Bharat NCAP (BNCAP). Any car is tested for its safety across two major spectrums: the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP). The 2026 Brezza has scored a total of 30.41 points out of a maximum of 32 points in terms of AOP, whereas it has scored a total of 43 points out of a maximum of 49 in terms of COP.

Tata Nexon: Safety Rating
The Tata Nexon also has a 5-star safety rating in crash tests organised by BNCAP, and it is also one of the SUVs that has a 5-star rating from Global NCAP (GNCAP) as well. According to reports, the Nexon is also the first Indian car to get a 5-star rating from Global NCAP. The Nexon has scored a total of 29.41 points out of a total of 32 points in terms of AOP, whereas it has scored a total of 43.83 points out of a total of 49 points in terms of COP.

2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift Vs Tata Nexon: Which Is Safer?
Both of these SUVs have performed really well in crash tests organised by BNCAP. However, the Nexon has scored 1 point less in AOP, which can be attributed to fewer points scored by the Tata SUV in the Side Moveable Deformable Barrier Test in comparison to the 2026 Brezza facelift. In this test, a moving cart/barrier is crashed into a car from the sides to test passenger injury risk and cabin intrusion. The Nexon, on the other hand, has scored 0.83 points more than the 2026 Brezza facelift in terms of COP, as it has scored better points in the Dynamic and vehicle assessment sub-categories.
