A new Life Is Strange game is reportedly in the works after a listing for an unannounced title appeared on the PEGI ratings website. Titled Life Is Strange: Reunion, according to this new listing, the game briefly appeared on the European content rating board before it was promptly removed. Square Enix is yet to confirm the project, but further speculation regarding the future of the story-led series has now been ignited.
PEGI Listing Reveals Title and Story Focus
As per the now deleted PEGI page, Life Is Strange: Reunion is listed under PlayStation 5, with its publisher being Square Enix. The description indicates that the game will revolve around Chloe Price – a favourite romantic interest from the original Life Is Strange. The story is said to follow Chloe as she arrives at Caledon University looking for help from Max Caulfield, despite the two characters having fallen out in the first game.

Faster than you can call security, the backstory suggests a high-stakes scenario: an imminent “deadly inferno” is descending upon the university campus. The game, sounding as nostalgic in both its title and description, may well see long-term fans of the series revisit when the new/old characters have a run out.

Rating Details and Missing Developer Info
The game was supposedly given a PEGI 16 rating in the listing for violence, drug use and strong language. The publisher was listed as Square Enix, but the developer’s identity was obscured. That only raises the question of who’s working on this game: is it Deck Nine, which is behind Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, or Don’t Nod, the studio that made its first two mainline games?
The page also listed a March 27, 2025 release date, though this is likely simply a placeholder or an error because there are no confirmed details at all.

How It Fits Into the Life Is Strange Timeline
The last release in the franchise, Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, was released in October 2024 and saw the return of Max Caulfield as protagonist. Previous titles, such as Life Is Strange 2 and True Colours, had centred around completely new characters that didn’t involve Max or Chloe.
If Life Is Strange: Reunion is to be believed, it would indicate a return to focusing on the series’ original plot thread – and all of that Square Enix name recognition — if only at least as part of a larger push by Square Enix to stick with its main characters longer than mixed reactions have otherwise seemed to allow them.
Of course, for now the leak is just a leak, and Square Enix has not provided any response. Like any rating leak, it's best not to take the information as fact until the publisher responds or a proper announcement is made.
