OnePlus may be preparing its biggest battery upgrade yet for the Nord lineup. The upcoming OnePlus Turbo 6, which is launching in China today, is widely expected to arrive globally as the OnePlus Nord 6. According to recent reports, the device could feature a huge 9,000mAh battery, made possible by advancements in silicon-carbon battery technology.
Over the past year, brands like Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme have already pushed battery capacities beyond 7,000 mAh in mainstream smartphones. With the Nord 6, OnePlus appears ready to take that trend much further.
OnePlus Nord 6 Battery: A Major Leap Forward
The OnePlus Turbo 6 is reported to ship with a 9,000 mAh battery, a capacity rarely seen outside rugged smartphones. Certifications from TDRA and SIRIM list the global variant under the model number CPH2795, strongly suggesting it will launch internationally as the OnePlus Nord 6.

To manage such a large battery, OnePlus is expected to include 80W fast charging support. The phone could also support 27W reverse wired charging, allowing it to act as a power bank for other devices.
Expected Specifications and Features
Based on current leaks, the OnePlus Nord 6 could feature a 1.5K flat OLED display with a 165 Hz refresh rate. Durability may be a key focus as well, with IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications tipped for dust and water resistance.

How It Compares to the Nord 5
For context, the OnePlus Nord 5 launched in India in July last year with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and a 6,800mAh battery. It was priced starting at Rs 31,999. With a much larger battery and newer hardware, the Nord 6 is expected to come with a noticeable price hike, especially amid rising component costs.

What This Means for Buyers
If the leaks hold true, the OnePlus Nord 6 could set a new benchmark for battery life in the upper mid-range segment. A 9,000mAh battery combined with fast charging and flagship-level performance could make it one of the most endurance-focused smartphones in its class. Pricing will be key, but OnePlus clearly seems ready to push the limits of what a Nord device can offer.
