Catherine O’Hara Death: The entertainment world is mourning the loss of legendary actor Catherine O’Hara, who passed away at the age of 71 following a brief illness. Best known for her unforgettable performances in Home Alone, Schitt’s Creek, Beetlejuice and SCTV, Catherine’s death has led to an overwhelming outpouring of love from colleagues, friends and fans across generations. According to her representatives, the Emmy-winning actor died peacefully at her home in Los Angeles on Friday. Over the decades, Catherine O’Hara carved a rare legacy one defined by sharp wit, emotional depth and characters that stayed with audiences long after the screen faded to black.

Macaulay Culkin, who played Kevin McCallister in the Home Alone films, paid a deeply personal tribute to the actor who portrayed his on-screen mother. Sharing old photographs from the film and a recent Walk of Fame ceremony, Culkin wrote, “Mama. I thought we had time. I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you. Dan Levy, Catherine O’Hara’s Schitt’s Creek co-star and on-screen son, described her as irreplaceable. In a heartfelt message, he wrote, “What a gift to have gotten to dance in the warm glow of Catherine O’Hara’s brilliance for all those years… It’s hard to imagine a world without her in it.
