Ever since Akshaye Khanna grabbed massive attention on social media for his stellar performance in Dhurandhar, fans have been revisiting several old clips and interviews associated with the actor, adding to the growing buzz around him. Further fuelling the nostalgia is the song FA9LA, in which Akshaye’s dance moves reminded many viewers of his legendary father, Vinod Khanna. One particular throwback clip that has resurfaced features former Pakistan cricket captain and ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan dancing alongside Bollywood greats Rekha and Vinod Khanna, instantly catching the internet’s attention.
Now, an old interview snippet of Vinod Khanna has also gone viral, in which the late actor candidly spoke about his personal life, admitting that he was “no saint as far as women are concerned.” Together, these resurfaced moments have sparked renewed discussions online, drawing parallels between father and son while reigniting interest in Vinod Khanna’s legacy.
Vinod Khanna had said, "Well, I was a bachelor, and I am no saint as far as women are concerned. I need sex as much as anybody else does. Without women, we won't be here; without sex, we won't be here. So why should anybody object to my being with women?"

While Vinod Khanna was married twice, Akshaye Khanna chose to remain unmarried, saying he prefers a “carefree life.” Vinod Khanna first married Geetanjali Khanna in 1971, divorced her in 1985 around the time he left films to join Osho’s ashram, and later married Kavita Khanna. In an old interview with Anuradha Prasad, Akshaye revealed he never wanted to marry due to societal pressure.
He said in a conversation with HT, "You need to find the right girl for yourself before deciding to get married. It is wrong to marry for the sake of it, thinking that your family is putting pressure on you, and you did it. That's wrong. I am hoping it will happen one day. I don't see myself getting married. I am not marriage material. I am not cut out for that kind of life. It is a commitment, but a drastic lifestyle change."
"I'm even more commitment-phobic now. I wasn't like that in the past, but over time, I have become more wary of relationships. It has a lot to do with the fact that I enjoy being alone. I am comfortable in my skin," he told Bombay Times.
