Abhishek Bachchan has broken his silence on the currently circulating divorce rumours about him and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Abhishek said in a conversation with Peeping Moon, "If you're a public figure, people are going to speculate about every little thing. Whatever rubbish has been written is absolutely false. None of it is based on fact; it's just wrong and intentionally hurtful."

He further noted that before their wedding, people were also guessing the wedding dates and afterwards, they started to decide when they were separating. "It's all nonsense. She knows my truth, I know hers. We return to a loving, grounded family - and that is what truly matters," said the Ghoomer actor.

Speaking about the divorce speculation, Bachchan said, "No. If there was even a shred of truth, perhaps it would. But there isn't. I won't tolerate fabricated stories or falsehoods about my family or me."

Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan’s personal life has been under public scrutiny following rumours of a marital rift last year. However, recent joint appearances seem to quell speculation. The couple was seen together at their cousin’s wedding in Pune in April with daughter Aaradhya, at her school function, at a star-studded wedding reception in December, and while celebrating Aaradhya’s birthday, with photos and videos from these events going viral on social media.

Rumours of a separation between Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan gained traction last year when the couple made separate entrances at a high-profile wedding. Speculation intensified further after Abhishek liked a social media post about "grey divorce," a term describing marriages dissolved by couples aged 50 and above, often after decades together.

On the professional front, Aishwarya was last seen reprising her role as Nandini in the second instalment of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan: II. Abhishek’s most recent work includes the Amazon Prime original series Be Happy.
