IND U19 vs ENG U19 Final, ICC U19 World Cup 2026: India defeated England by 100 runs in the final to clinch the ICC U19 World Cup 2026 title at the Harare Sports Club on Friday. This is India's sixth U19 World Cup title, as they came up with a special performance to outclass the Thomas Rew-led side. Kanishk Chouhan landed the final blow as he dismissed Caleb Falconer, who kept the lone fight alive for a while for England. Falconer scored 115 runs in 67 balls, hitting nine fours and seven sixes.

India bowled England out for 311 runs in 40.2 overs while defending their mammoth total of 411, which they scored with the help of a special performance from the young opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The left-handed batter smashed an outstanding century after India opted to bat first, and he went on to play an exceptional knock of 175 runs in 80 balls on the back of 15 fours and as many sixes.

India lost an early wicket as Aaron George departed for just 9 runs in the fourth over of the innings. The recovery was made in an amazing style as Sooryavanshi looked in a brilliant touch and smashed the England bowlers all around the ground. He stitched a 142-run stand with skipper Ayush Mhatre for the second wicket. He then added 89 more runs with Vedant Trivedi.

Mhatre also smashed his fifty, and scored 53 runs with the help of seven fours and two sixes. During his stay at the crease, Sooryavanshi ended up breaking multiple records before he was dismissed by Manny Lumsden in the 26th over. On the other hand, Abhigyan Kundu (40), Vihaan Malhotra (30), and Kanishk (37*) came up with impactful contributions.

Chasing the target, Ben Dawkins gave England a promising start despite an early wicket of Joseph Moores (17) in the fifth over. Dawkins played a marvelous knock of 66 runs in 56 balls, hitting seven fours and a couple of sixes. England remained alive in the run chase for a while, but wickets in quick succession in the middle overs took India closer to the win.

Apart from Falconer, Ben Mayes (45), and skipper Rew got starts, but couldn't convert them into big ones. For India, RS Ambrish picked up three wickets, whereas Deepesh Devendran and Kanishk found a couple of scalps each.
