Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Century, IND U19 vs ENG U19 Final: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi went berserk as he entered his name in the history books on the back of an outstanding effort with the bat during the India vs England in the final of the ongoing ICC U19 World Cup 2026 at the Harare Sports Club on Friday.
Sooryavanshi now has the fastest 150 in the history of the U19 cricket, as he reached the milestone in just 71 balls. He went past the previous record made by England's Ben Mayes in 98 balls against Scotland at the same venue earlier in the competition. The 14-year-old batting sensation missed out on a magnificent double century. Having smashed his century in just 55 balls, Sooryavanshi smashed multiple records. It was Suryavanshi’s fourth century in Youth ODIs, drawing him level with Shubman Gill and Vijay Zol among Indians.
Unmukt Chand holds the national record with five hundreds. The 14-year-old Sooryavanshi played a memorable knock of 175 runs in 80 balls on the back of 15 fours and as many sixes before he was dismissed by Manny Lumsden in the 26th over of India's innings.
