Lava Bold 2 5G India Launch Set For March 13; Under-Display Fingerprint Scanner Confirmed

This information is from Lava, which has confirmed the launch of its upcoming smartphone Lava Bold 2 5G in India. It will be introduced later this week as the successor of the Lava Bold 5G that was launched in 2025. And now, ahead of launch, the company has shared some details on key design elements and features through an updated microsite on Amazon. It is said to come with an under-display fingerprint scanner, a hole-punch display design, and a dual rear camera setup.

Launch Date of Lava Bold 2 5G in India

Lava has announced that it will be launching its Lava Bold 2 5G smartphone in India on March 13 at 12 pm IST. Confirmed by the dedicated microsite on Amazon, the device will be available for purchase via the e-commerce site.

The teaser also reveals some of the design elements and the main features that can be expected from the smartphone.

Confirmed Design and Features

The Lava Bold 2 5G will also likely sport a centred hole punch cutout on the display to house the selfie camera, according to the promotional material.

The phone is also said to have the following:

- Biometric authentication through an under-display fingerprint scanner

- Dual rear camera setup

- LED flash in a rectangular camera island

- Thin side edges with a slightly thicker chin

Besides that, the phone seems to sport a flat chassis and a flat back panel. On the right side of the handset are the power button and volume keys.

The smartphone has also been teased in at least one colour option: Black

However, the company is yet to disclose details about the chipset specifications, camera specifications, battery size and display size.
