Easy Care Tips For Bouquet:  Whether given by a close one on a special occasion or bought for yourself, flowers somehow always have a special place in our hearts and can effortlessly amp up any interior. While watching them wilt is one of the most disheartening things. Therefore, if you are looking for ways to keep them blooming and alive longer, here is a list of simple yet effective tips to maintain them and keep your flower bouquet lasting longer.

1. Keep A Clean Vase:

Use clean water and a sterilised flower vase. Additionally, change the water of your flower vase every 1 to 2 days to keep out bacteria.

2. Trim The Stems:

Trim stems of your bouquet every day. Trim 1 to 2-inch pieces of the stem at a 45-degree angle while immersed in water.

3. Flower Food

Flower food is a nutrient mix for cut flowers, which usually consists of sugar, vinegar and citric acid (lemon juice). I personally make this flower food at home with a DIY recipe; you can also buy a packaged one.

4. Keep In A Protected Place

Keep your flower vase in a dry, cool and ventilated place, which is away from direct sun, drafts, and fruit.

5. Monitor Water

Keep a firm daily check on the water in your flower vase. Clean it if necessary, and water in it seems cloudy or dirty.

6. Remove Wilting Flowers

While monitoring or changing the water of your flower vase, also trim the wilted or dried-up flowers and re-cut the stems for better water absorption.

Each of the above-mentioned care tips for your flower bouquet is especially helpful to keep your beautiful blooms alive for at least a week. Additionally, avoid ice cubes as they shock roots or metal vessels because of toxic reactions. Therefore, prefer glass vases and pour normal water in them for your cut flowers. With these hacks, your bouquet lives longer.
