Divya Agarwal has responded to the criticism and online trolling that often labels her a “gold digger,” addressing the issue with a mix of sarcasm and honesty. The reality TV personality recently spoke about the remarks frequently directed at her on social media, where some users question her intentions behind her relationship with husband Apurva Padgaonkar.
In an interview, Divya Agarwal said in a conversation with Free Press Journal, "If you call me a gold digger, I am actually okay with it, or even a diamond digger for that matter. When it comes to my husband and having the right partner in my life, I am pretty much successful. He is the gold I was trying to dig for all my life, and I found him."
She further added, "How can people be so stupid? Where is my Lamborghini? Where is my bungalow next to Juhu Beach? Where am I stepping out of my private jet? I am doing none of that. I travel economy. So where is all of that?"

Divya Agarwal also spoke about the foundation of her relationship with husband Apurva Padgaonkar, emphasising that their bond has always been rooted in love rather than material benefits. She acknowledged that many people may not fully understand the depth of her commitment, but said that the relationship has been meaningful and worth every challenge she has faced along the way. For Divya, the emotional connection and mutual support they share have always mattered far more than the assumptions often made by outsiders.

Divya and Apurva tied the knot in February 2024 in an intimate wedding ceremony attended by close family members and friends. Apurva, who describes himself on Instagram as a restaurateur and gin influencer, has often stayed away from the entertainment spotlight despite his connection with the reality TV star.
