Music composer and filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj has reacted strongly to reports of Arijit Singh’s decision to step away from playback singing, expressing shock and disbelief over the unexpected announcement. Taking to social media, Bhardwaj shared an emotional note in which he described the move as 'inappropriate', suggesting that Arijit’s voice and artistry remain far too integral to the music industry to be withdrawn at this stage. His post reflected both personal concern and professional admiration, highlighting how deeply Arijit’s work has resonated with audiences and fellow musicians alike.
Bhardwaj wrote in a heartfelt post, "Hey Arijit… Till a few days back, while we were jamming on this song (you were shooting the video), I didn’t know that this would be one of the last film songs with you. This is unfair… #TakeBackYourSanyaas. It’s unacceptable."
