The upcoming box office battle between Dhurandhar 2 and Ustad Bhagat Singh has already created immense excitement among cinema lovers. While Dhurandhar 2, featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, is directed by Aditya Dhar, the upcoming film ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh,’ featuring Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, is directed by Harish Shankar. Interestingly, both films are set to hit the screens on March 19, marking a massive battle between Bollywood and South cinema.

Earlier, Dhurandhar 2 was set to clash with Yash’s Toxic. However, Toxic’s makers postponed its release date to June 4, 2026. Well, it is noteworthy that Indian cinema has seen many exciting box office battles in the past, too.

1. Gadar: Ek Prem Katha vs Lagaan (June 15, 2001)

One of the biggest box office battles in the history of Hindi cinema took place when Sunny Deol’s Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and Aamir Khan’s Lagaan released on the same day. 2. Om Shanti Om vs Saawariya (November 9, 2007)
