‘A Dream That Once Felt Out Of Reach’: Heeseung Announces Exit From Kpop Group ENHYPEN, Plans Solo Debut

Kpop fans are in shock after the announcement that ENHYPEN member Heeseung is leaving the group. His management agency, Belift Lab, confirmed this news in an official statement on the fan platform Weverse. According to the statement, the decision to leave the group was made after holding discussions regarding the future plans of the group and the individual plans of the members.

In a statement, Belift Lab, a subsidiary of HYBE Labels, said, “The decision was made after in-depth discussions with all members of ENHYPEN.” Belift Lab further stated, “Heeseung has his own vision for his musical life, and he wanted to go in a different direction.” 

“Through deep discussions about each member’s vision for the future and the team’s direction, we realised that Heeseung has a clear musical path he wishes to follow.” The agency announced that they would respect his wishes: “Following this decision, we will officially be parting with our member who is 24 years old.”

ENHYPEN To Continue As Six-Member Group

Despite Heeseung's exit, ENHYPEN will carry on with its activities as a six-member group in the upcoming promotional schedule. The agency also acknowledged the fact that the news is emotional for the fans. The statement released by Belift Lab explained that the decision has been made after careful thought and long discussions.

“Although it is difficult to explain every detail in a short statement, we want to emphasise that this decision was made after a long period of deliberation. We understand that this news may be difficult for fans to accept, but we hope you will understand that it was made with the future of both ENHYPEN and Heeseung in mind.”

The company also assured fans that the group will continue to bring exciting performances and energy to their fanbase, known as ENGENE.

Heeseung Shares Emotional Message With Fans

Following this announcement, Heeseung also shared a message for the fans. In this message, he thanked his members and the fans who have always been there for him throughout his journey.

“Thanks to the members I shared countless emotions with, and ENGENE who filled every space with their support, I was able to take step after step towards my dream that was once out of reach.” Furthermore, he also announced that he is working on a solo album and will be able to meet the fans soon.

Heeseung’s Journey With ENHYPEN

Heeseung debuted as a member of ENHYPEN in November 2020 after appearing on the hit survival audition show “I-LAND.” ENHYPEN officially entered the K-pop industry with the release of their debut album “BORDER: DAY ONE.”

Since their debut, ENHYPEN has gained a large fanbase worldwide and has been successful in their releases and performances.
