Kumbh Girl Monalisa Bhosle Marries Farman Khan In Kerala, Seeks Police Protection As Father Opposes Marriage

Monalisa Bhosle, who gained popularity through social media during the Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj, has now reportedly tied the knot with her boyfriend, Farman Khan, in Kerala. The relationship between the couple had encountered significant opposition from Monalisa’s family, especially her father. Due to this reason, Monalisa had to approach the police in Thiruvananthapuram and finally decided to get married to her boyfriend at a temple in the city.

Before the wedding, Monalisa had gone to the Thampanoor Police Station in Thiruvananthapuram to seek assistance. Monalisa told the police that her family was not accepting her relationship with Farman Khan. According to Monalisa’s statement to the police, her father had arrived in Kerala and was trying to take her back to her hometown against her will.

The police stated that Monalisa had told them that she did not wish to accompany her father back home and wished to marry her boyfriend. Since both Monalisa and Farman are adults, they are at liberty to make their own decisions. Monalisa left with her partner after talking to the police at the police station, while her father returned home.

Wedding Held At Temple In Thiruvananthapuram

Once the situation was under control, Monalisa and Farman decided to go ahead with their plans of getting married. The wedding took place at the Nainar Temple in Thiruvananthapuram.

The wedding reportedly took place in front of a number of political leaders, including V Sivankutty, M V Govindan, and A A Rahim. While speaking at the wedding, Rahim stated that according to the Constitution of India, people from different religious backgrounds are allowed to marry.

From Viral Video To Public Spotlight

Monalisa first gained public attention during the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. At the time, she was reportedly selling rudraksha garlands when a content creator recorded a video of her. The clip quickly spread across social media, making Monalisa an internet sensation almost overnight. 

Monalisa, who is from Indore, visited Kerala for a film shoot. During this time, she and Farman were reportedly residing near Poovar, which is near Thiruvananthapuram. It is during this time that the issue between Monalisa and her family became known to the public. Monalisa and Farman decided to follow their decision and begin their life together.
