The Golden Globe-nominated anime film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle is set to return to theatres in India months after its original release. The film had previously broken several box office records and earned multiple award nominations. Crunchyroll announced that the blockbuster anime will re-release in Indian cinemas on March 6. This time, it will also be screened in SCREENX, the world’s first multi-projection cinema format offering a 270-degree immersive viewing experience.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Release Date

The film, distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment, was originally released on September 12, 2025. It will return exclusively to theatres and will be screened in Japanese with English subtitles.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle is the first film in an epic three-part cinematic trilogy that will depict the final battle of the globally popular anime series. The film opened to strong critical and fan acclaim and went on to become the seventh highest-grossing film worldwide in 2025.

Directed by Haruo Sotozaki, the film features voice performances by Natsuki Hanae, Takahiro Sakurai, Akira Ishida, Saori Hayami, Hiro Shimono and Mamoru Miyano.

Following its September release, the film became the highest-grossing international movie ever released in North America, surpassing Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which had held the record for 25 years. It is also the highest-grossing anime film globally and set a new box office record in India as the country’s top-grossing anime release.
