Chasing the target, England scored at a good rate, but early wickets reduced them to 95/4 in the eighth over. The recovery was made by an excellent partnership between Jacob Bethell and Will Jacks. The duo stitched a 77-run stand for the fifth wicket. Bethell looked in an unbelievable touch and was smashing the bowlers for fun. However, his century went in vain at last as they fell short towards the end. For India, Hardik Pandya was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets for 38 runs, whereas Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakaravarthy and Axar Patel found a scalp each.
