India vs New Zealand Final, ICC T20 World Cup 2026: Jasprit Bumrah will be in action when India take on New Zealand in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, March 8. He produced a match-winning effort in the semifinal against England as his last two overs turned the game in India's favour. In the high-scoring semifinal, Bumrah gave away just 33 runs for his one wicket in his four overs.
Bumrah might not have taken the most wickets for India in the tournament, but he has delivered in crunch situations to bail the team out of trouble multiple times. The senior pacer has taken 10 wickets in 7 matches at an average of 15.90. India will be heading into the match on the back of a thrilling 7-run win over England in the semifinal in England. Sanju Samson, who played a memorable knock of 89 runs, dedicated his Player of the Match award to Bumrah.
Bumrah has been India's stand-out star with excellent performances against Pakistan, South Africa, the West Indies and England. His bowling at death was beyond exceptional. Bumrah is 32 years old and still plays all three formats with 500 international wickets in his kitty.
