Amid a possibility of an imminent attack by the United States, thousands of Iranians reportedly got an SMS alert on their phones on Monday, warning about 'action'.
According to Iran International news agency, citing state media, the message to Iranians read: "The US President is a man of action. Wait and see."
Earlier, President Trump said that he is considering a "limited military strike" on the West Asian country.
The escalation between the two countries is taking place even as they are set to hold the next round of talks in Geneva on Thursday.
Reacting to Trump's threat, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran will not be pressured by the military buildup near its territory, while expressing optimism about achieving a diplomatic solution to the standoff.
The US has already amassed armadas in the Middle East and ordered its non-essential diplomats and their families to leave Lebanon as tensions with Iran soared.
US mulling limited strike, Tehran warns attack on Israel
On Sunday, The New York Times reported that a limited strike on Iran in the immediate future is under consideration by the US government to pressure Tehran to agree to Trump's nuclear demands.
Even after the limited strikes, if the Islamic Republic continues to stand firm, it could be followed by a larger campaign later this year targeting regime change, the report said.

On Monday, Iran said that a US strike of any scale would spur the Islamic Republic to respond "ferociously."
Tehran has said that if the Pentagon attacks its territory, it will respond with strikes not only on US military interests in the region but on Israel, a happening that could trigger a widespread escalation to the already delicate Middle East.
