Iran-Israel-US War: Amid the ongoing war between Iran and US-Israel, the netizens pointed out that Tehran has tricked the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF). The debate started after the IDF, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), shared a video of strike on supposedly Iranian Mi-17 helicopter. However, the social media users claimed that instead of hitting a real helicopter, Israel destroyed a painted decoy. While IDF has not responded to any such claims, some of the netizens also claimed that the attack was on a real helicopter.
While sharing the visuals of the attacks, IDF asserted that it also neutralised the Iranian soldiers who operated defence systems. "The Air Force continues to strike at the Iranian regime's aerial capabilities: Iranian soldiers who operated air defense systems have been neutralized," IDF stated in its post. However, the netizens were quick to point out that the shape of the helicopter's wings did not change even after the attack.

They further claimed that the Israeli forces attacked a painting Iran had made to confuse them. "Why would you post this self-own? If this was a real chopper the wings wouldn't look exactly as they did before the bombing. You bombed a painting, you retards," one of the users stated. "Israel is great at bombing schools full of children and chalk paintings on the ground," another user claimed.
However, some of the netizens also stated that smoke's movement after the attack suggests that the IDF actually hit a real helicopter. In its retaliation, Iran has attacked several US bases in the Middle East region, leading to severe damage. The war broke out after US and Israel killed Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday. US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth on Friday warned that attack in Iran is "about to surge dramatically" in the upcoming days.
