The war of words has intensified between the United States and Iran, besides military escalation, as Iran's security chief, Ali Larijani, has threatened US President Donald Trump.

In a post on X, he posted a screenshot of a post of Trump's Truth Social, warning to watch himself out, lest he be eliminated!

Larijani said, "Even those greater than you could not eliminate Iran. Watch out for yourself, lest you be eliminated!" Larijani's warning came in response to Trump's threat to Mojatab Khamenei against stopping the flow of oil within the Strait of Hormuz.

In his post, Trump had said that Iran will be hit "twenty times harder" than previous strikes if it tries to stop the flow of oil in the Strait, adding that the said strikes will make it impossible for Iran to build it back.

"Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon them - But I hope, and pray, that it does not happen!" Trump wrote. Threatening Mojtaba, Trump said that he will not be able to live in peace.

The war started on February 28, when the United States and Israel launched joint strikes against Iran under Operation Epic Fury, citing Tehran's nuclear and ballistic programme as an existential threat to them.
