Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, Iran's hardline judiciary chief, on Saturday said that Iran would continue targeting its neighbours in West Asia who allegedly aid its enemies (US and Israel).
Ejei stated that current evidence from Iran's armed forces makes it apparent that the territory of some neighbouring countries is openly and covertly being used by the enemy. He added that the attacks against Iran are being carried out from those locations.
He stated that the decision to continue targeting enemy assets in the neighbouring countries was taken in full agreement among the government and other pillars of the political system.
This comes hours after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued an unexpected apology to neighbours, stating that Iran will halt its attack on them. However, the big announcement came with a warning that the strikes will not be launched unless an attack on Iran originates from those countries.

"I must apologise on my own behalf and on behalf of Iran to the neighbouring countries that were attacked by Iran. The interim leadership council agreed yesterday that no more attacks will be made on neighbouring countries and no missiles will be fired unless an attack on Iran originates from those countries," Pezeshkian was quoted by Iranian state TV.
Several projectiles and drones were intercepted and explosions were heard across the West Asian countries on Saturday.
Saudi Arabia said that it intercepted a missile fired at an airbase housing US personnel. Jordan on the other hand accused Tehran of "targeting vital installations" over the last week.
Explosions were also heard in Dubai as the UAE said that its air defences intercepted 15 missiles and 119 drones on Saturday morning. A video showed one missile crashing into Dubai airport.
