Three Indian-origin men were arrested in the United States after law enforcement tracked down two stolen semi-truck trailers carrying cargo worth more than $500,000, following a coordinated surveillance operation in Nevada. The suspects, Arashdeep Singh (21) of Fremont, California, Deepindeer Singh (26) of Manteca, California, and Harman Pal Singh (25) of Lodi, California, were taken into custody in Storey County, Nevada, in connection with the thefts. Authorities said the operation unfolded between late January and early February 2026 and involved close coordination between local police and the owner of the stolen property.
Theft Reported, Investigation Begins
According to investigators, the case began on January 29, 2026, when two semi-truck trailers loaded with high-value goods were reported stolen. The owner of the cargo worked with law enforcement to help trace the missing trailers, providing key information that helped narrow down their possible location.
Storey County detectives later identified the trailers in an industrial area of Sparks, Nevada. On January 30, a detective conducting surveillance observed a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle arrive at the site. The individuals allegedly hooked up the stolen trailers and attempted to drive away, according to reports cited by the Times of India.
Sparks Police officers then conducted a traffic stop on both vehicles. All three suspects were arrested without incident, and the stolen trailers were recovered. Deputies confirmed that approximately USD 500,000 worth of cargo was retrieved during the operation.
Charges Filed Against Accused
Each of the three men faces multiple felony charges, including possession of stolen property valued at USD 100,000 or more and attempted possession of stolen property of the same value. Authorities have not yet disclosed whether the suspects have legal representation or entered pleas.
The case comes amid growing concern over cargo theft across the United States. In October 2025, California authorities dismantled a major theft ring dubbed the “Singh Organisation,” in which 12 men, 11 of them Indian-origin, were charged with stealing millions of dollars’ worth of electronics and appliances over several years.
