Street food evenings are usually full of fun, laughter and spicy flavours. But for two people enjoying pani puri, the moment quickly turned from tasty to terrifying. A video now going viral on social media shows an influencer and a friend happily eating golgappas at a roadside cart. Everything seems normal at first. Then suddenly, something shocking appears inside the pani puri masala container: a live rat.

The clip captures the vendor panicking and trying hard to remove the animal. After a few tense seconds, the rat, fully covered in masala, jumps out of the container and runs straight towards a nearby drain. The unexpected sight leaves everyone stunned.

It is still unclear how the rat ended up inside the mixture. The video does not explain whether the animal slipped in after the cart was parked or if it had been inside the container for a longer time. The incident has once again raised serious questions about food hygiene on the streets.
