Taylor Swift Collaborates With Sabrina Carpenter For New Album 'The Life Of A Showgirl'

Taylor Swift has announced her new album titled 'The Life of a Showgirl', which is being produced by her alongwith Max Martin and Shellback. She also unveiled the 12 track list, which features her collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter. Carpenter features on the track that ends the album. The pop star shared the news of her brand new album on social media and on her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s podcast New Heights on Wednesday. Swift also unveiled the release date and stated that the album is about what was going on in her life while she was on the Eras Tour. Carpenter showed her excitement about being a solo artist to feature on Swift's 12th album, revealing that she is 'freaking out'.

After the announcement of the album The Life of a Showgirl, Sabrina Carpenter couldn't keep calm and reacted to the collaboration with Taylor Swift on social media. Sharing Swift's post on her Instagram story, she wrote, "I know someone is freaking out, and it's me."

The Espresso hitmaker also shared a photo of her with Swift from their collaboration on stage during the Eras Tour in New Orleans.

Talking about her 12th album title on her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce's podcast, New Heights Show, shared the inspiration behind her new album. She said as quoted by Variety, "The Life of a Showgirl was inspired by the joy that being on the Eras Tour brought her. This album is about what was going on behind the scenes of my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant. It just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life, and so that effervesence has come through on this record. And like you said, bangers."

Confirming that the album will consist of only 12 tracks, the singer said, “there’s no other songs coming.”

Swift stated, "With ‘Tortured Poets Department,’ I was like here’s a data dump of everything I thought, felt, experienced in two or three years. Here’s 31 songs. This is 12. There’s not a thirteenth, there’s not other ones coming. This is the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time. I also wanted it to be every single song is on this album for hundreds of reasons, and you couldn’t take one out and it be the same album, you couldn’t add one and be… It’s just right."
