Redmi, backed by Xiaomi, has quietly introduced a new budget phone in Indonesia called the Redmi A7 Pro 4G. And honestly, this one seems built for people who just want a dependable daily driver without worrying about charging twice a day.
Let’s start with the biggest talking point: the battery. The phone packs a huge 6000mAh unit. For regular users who stream a lot of videos, scroll endlessly, attend calls, and browse throughout the day, this is the kind of battery capacity that actually makes a difference. It supports 15W charging, which isn’t super fast, but fair enough considering the large battery inside.

On the front, you get a big 6.9-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. That is a pleasant surprise at this level. Scrolling through apps and social media should feel noticeably smoother compared to typical 60Hz budget phones.
Performance-wise, the Redmi A7 Pro 4G runs on the Unisoc T7250 chipset, built on a 12nm process. It ships with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, which is a solid combination for everyday multitasking. The device runs Xiaomi HyperOS, so the software experience should feel familiar to existing Xiaomi and Redmi users.
Coming to cameras, you get a 13-megapixel AI dual rear setup and an 8-megapixel front camera. It is clearly not aiming to be a photography powerhouse, but it should handle casual shots and video calls comfortably. AI enhancements are included to help with lighting adjustments.
Design-wise, it comes in Black, Blue, Green, and Orange. The Orange variant especially stands out with its wavy textured back panel, giving it a bit of personality in a segment where most phones look similar.

In Indonesia, the phone is priced at Rp 1,699,000, roughly ₹9,200. However, during the March 1 to March 7 pre-order window, it drops to Rp 1,499,000, around ₹8,100. The regular sale begins March 13, and buyers also get a two-month Spotify Premium Standard subscription bundled in.
As of now, there is no official word on when or if the Redmi A7 Pro 4G will make its way to India.
