Motorola has introduced the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion in India, targeting the mid-premium smartphone segment with a mix of camera upgrades, strong battery life, and a slim design. The company says the device brings the world’s first 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 camera with optical image stabilisation to this category.
The smartphone will go on sale in India starting March 12 through Flipkart, Motorola’s official website, and offline retail stores. The starting price for the device is Rs 26,999.

Camera Focus With Sony LYTIA Sensor
Motorola is clearly positioning the Edge 70 Fusion as a camera-focused phone. The main highlight is the 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor paired with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation. The camera system also uses MotoAI processing, which the company says improves texture detail, motion capture, and dynamic range while shooting photos or videos.
The camera system carries Pantone validation for colour accuracy and skin tones, something Motorola has been highlighting across its recent devices.
Alongside the main sensor, the phone includes a 13MP ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view. This sensor also doubles as a macro camera for close-up shots. On the front, Motorola has added a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.
All three cameras on the device support 4K HDR video recording.
Slim Design With Fabric-Inspired Finish
Motorola has also focused on design. The Edge 70 Fusion comes with what the company describes as a linen-inspired fabric finish on the back. Despite packing a large battery, the phone maintains a slim profile and weighs around 193 grams.
The smartphone will be available in three Pantone-curated colours called Blue Surf, Country Air, and Silhouette.
Durability is another area Motorola is highlighting. The device comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, along with MIL STD 810H certification.
Display and Performance
On the front, the Edge 70 Fusion features a 6.78-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate and can reach up to 5200 nits peak brightness. It also supports HDR10+ content and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.
Powering the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. The device can be configured with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
One unusual detail for this price segment is the software. The Edge 70 Fusion ships with Android 16 out of the box. Motorola says the device will receive three major Android updates along with five years of security patches.
Large Battery In A Slim Body
Despite its 7.99mm thickness, Motorola has included a large 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery. This newer battery chemistry allows higher energy density while keeping the device relatively slim.
According to Motorola, the phone can deliver up to 52 hours of battery life on a single charge. It also supports 68W TurboPower charging, which the company says can provide enough power for a full day of use in about 10 minutes.
Price And Availability In India
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will be available in three configurations. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 26,999. The 8GB and 256GB model costs Rs 29,999, while the top-end 12GB and 256GB version is priced at Rs 32,999.
Motorola is also offering a Rs 2,000 instant discount for customers using HDFC or Axis Bank credit cards, bringing the effective starting price down to Rs 24,999. Buyers can also get a flat Rs 2,000 exchange bonus on old devices.
