AI Summit Congress Protest: A group of India Youth Congress (IYC) leaders took a center stage after holding a 'shirtless protest' at Bharat Mandapam, the venue for the AI Impact Summit 2026, prompting Delhi Police to file an FIR and detain them. In a statement, the Indian Youth Congress said its workers were protesting against a "compromised Prime Minister" who has traded the identity of the country at the Al Summit.

"The truth cannot be suppressed behind the glittering stage of the AI Summit. When corporate interests appear to overcome national interests and softness in foreign policy is clearly visible, then protest becomes a duty! That is why the fearless workers of the Indian Youth Congress arrived at Bharat Mandapam, so that the voice against the “Compromised PM” can be raised and the Modi government is forced to answer for the compromises being made on the country's integrity," IYC wrote on X.

Earlier, the Delhi Police initiated legal action against a cadre of the Youth Congress who were protesting 'shirtless'. Additional Commissioner of Police Devesh Mahla said the incident took place at around 12:30 pm and that the protestors had registered for the summit online.

Who Is Narsimha Yadav?

Narsimha Yadav is the India Youth Congress National Coordinator, who allegedly organised the protest at the venue, where top world AI leaders gathered yesterday. Yadav was detained by the police during a protest. He plays a key role in organising anti-government protests. 

BJP Attacks Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi

The incident unleashed attacks on Congress. BJP leader Amit Malviya shared an old photo of Yadav alongside Rahul Gandhi from the Bharat Jodo Yatra to allege orchestration and close ties to Congress leadership.

"Narsimha Yadav, one of the main organisers of today’s naked protest at the AI Summit, has pictures with Rahul Gandhi. This should leave no doubt that the disruption was not incidental; it was orchestrated. Such theatrics on an international stage only damage India’s image and undermine the very platform meant to showcase the country’s technological leadership. Political disagreements are part of democracy. Embarrassing India before the world is not," Malviya said in his X post.
