In a deeply disturbing incident, the decapitated head of an eight-year-old boy was recovered from the Bhakra Canal passing through Kakrala village on the Samana-Patiala road in Punjab. A team of divers retrieved the body floating in the canal and discovered that the victim’s legs had been tied.
The boy’s severed head and bound legs were both found in the Bhakra Canal in Patiala.
According to reports, the brutality did not end there. The assailant is also believed to have stabbed the child in the stomach with a sharp weapon, causing the intestines to protrude from the ruptured abdomen.
Shankar Bhardwaj, president of the Bhole Shankar Divers Club, stated that the Passiana police station had been informed about the recovery of the body. The incident has triggered panic in the surrounding area, and investigations are ongoing.

Punjab Man Stabs Ex-Girlfriend Over 30 Times Inside Office
In a separate incident reported a few days earlier in Punjab’s Mohali, a man allegedly stabbed his colleague, reportedly his ex-girlfriend, to death on Thursday evening. The incident took place at a private firm in Mohali and has been caught on CCTV.
The accused was identified as Harvinder Mann, alias Harry, the accused entered the office at around 7.40 pm and tried to attack the victim, Dimple, with a knife by reaching her desk. Dimple then tried to escape, but Harry followed her into the office, grabbed her by the hair near the entrance, and continued attacking her.
Several employees attempted to intervene, but failed to stop him. Investigators believe the woman was stabbed more than 30 times before collapsing. After the attack, Harry allegedly walked back into the office area and attempted suicide.
