Karnataka Power Row: The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, lost his cool at a rally in Bengaluru on Tuesday after he heard some Congress workers raising slogans in favour of Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.

CM Siddaramaiah lost his patience after a section of party workers started shouting ‘DK, DK’ as he rose from his chair and walked towards the podium.

Irritated with the slogan emerging from the crowd, Siddaramaiah asked workers to maintain silence, but his request went unheard. Later, he angrily demanded to know who was raising slogans.

"Who are those shouting ‘DK, DK’," Siddaramaiah asked Congress leaders.

The situation prompted the event compere to intervene and handle the situation. The compere warned workers to stop interrupting and quitely litsen to the Chief Minister.

"The Youth Congress leaders should keep quiet. The chief minister is addressing. We know who you are. Listen to the CM silently," the compere said.

However, the situation could not be controlled, and workers continued raising slogans even after Siddaramaiah started speaking. The workers' indiscipline partially overshadowed the message of the protest, as CM had come to take part in the protest against the replacement of MGNREGA with the G Ram G act.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, along with Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala, and several party ministers, MPs, and MLAs, took part in a protest against the Central government's plan to replace the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) with a new scheme called Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajivika Mission (Gramin), or VB-G RAM G.
