France Visa Guide: French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday announced that France will soon streamline visa procedures for Indian students, adding that additional English courses will also be added. While speaking at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) campus, Macron stated that France is committed to boosting the educational ties with India. The French president further stated that Paris will also try to increase the student mobility between the two countries. While the visa procedures are likely to be streamlined in the near future, thousands of Indian students take admission in the French colleges through the current policy.
France Visa For Indians: How To Apply?
- The residents are required to first book an appointment for a Schengen visa
- Download the application form and fill in the details
- You will be called for an interview if the document is accepted
- The review process for the application might take up to 15 days

What Is The Eligibility For A Student Visa?
- A valid application form
- Valid passport for at least six months from the date of departure
- Acceptance letter from any recognised university
- Proof of rent agreement
- Two passport-size photographs (at least)
- The applicant's bank statement
- Proof of payment of university fees

Emmanuel Macron asserted that the number of Indian students studying in France is likely to triple by the end of 2030. "We want to welcome more Indian students and have more French students coming here. We are currently speaking about 10,000 per year. We have decided with Prime Minister Modi to increase this number to 30,000 per year by 2030. From the French side, we will simplify the sourcing and the visa process," Macron asserted.
