Delhi Weather: Residents of the national capital experienced the hottest day of the season on Friday, as the temperature soared to 34.4 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was recorded at 17 degrees Celsius, 3.6 degrees above normal.
Meanwhile, the air quality remained in the moderate category, with the city's 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 172.

Delhi Weather
Friday marked the hottest day of the season so far in the national capital, with the maximum temperature reaching 34.4 degrees Celsius, seven degrees above normal and slightly higher than Thursday’s 34.3 degrees Celsius.
On the minimum temperature front, Safdarjung recorded 17 degrees Celsius, 3.6 degrees above normal, while Lodi Road recorded 16.3 degrees Celsius, 4.3 degrees above normal. Ridge station reported a minimum of 17.8 degrees Celsius, and Ayanagar recorded 17.6 degrees Celsius.

Speaking to news agency PTI, Mahesh Palawat, Vice President of Meteorology and Climate Change at Skymet, said that no significant weather activity is expected over Delhi and neighbouring states, including Punjab, for at least the next 10 days.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast clear skies and bright sunshine in the coming days, which may lead to a gradual rise in both maximum and minimum temperatures.
"There are indications of clear skies and bright sunshine in the coming days, which may lead to a gradual rise in both morning and evening temperatures. Wind speeds are also likely to increase in the coming days," Palawat said.
Delhi AQI Today
On the air quality front, the city's 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 172. The Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi (AQEWS) has forecast that the air quality is likely to drop into the 'poor' category on Saturday, March 7.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered 'good', 51-100 'satisfactory', 101-200 'moderate', 201-300 'poor', 301-400 'very poor', and 401-500 'severe'.
