Fans of Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones are currently locked in a heated online debate over which show holds the highest-rated television episode on IMDb. The 14th episode (titled Ozymandias) of Breaking Bad's finale season has maintained 10/10 score on IMDb charts since its 2013 release. However, for the first time in 13 years, Ozymandias has lost its perfect rating, slipping to 9.9 after a sudden spike in one-star reviews. As a result, it has now dropped to ninth place on IMDb’s rankings, reigniting fierce fan debates across social media.
The sudden influx of low ratings directed at Ozymandias appears to have been fuelled by passionate fans of Game of Thrones, who are keen to see the latest episode of its spin-off, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, claim the coveted top position on IMDb. Since the episode aired earlier this week, it has generated immense buzz across social media, with viewers and critics alike showering it with praise and lauding its storytelling, performances and emotional depth.
Many fans have gone so far as to describe episode five as not only the standout chapter of the spin-off series so far, but also as a contender for one of the finest episodes in the entire Game of Thrones canon, reigniting intense fan rivalries and sparking debates over which show truly deserves television’s highest-rated honour.

13 years at a perfect 10… and now it drops to 9.9? 😳

Even a slight dent feels unreal when you’re talking about Ozymandias arguably the most iconic episode in TV history. Still, 9.9 after all these years? pic.twitter.com/mNADFEwNhK
9.9 is still a good rating

What made it drop in the first place?
Although the latest episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms briefly achieved a perfect 10/10 on IMDb, it has since slipped to 9.8 and fallen out of the platform’s Top 10. With IMDb calculating scores to fine decimals, episodes like Ozymandias and Bojack Horseman both stand at 9.9, though the latter ranks higher, while the Six Feet Under series finale currently tops the chart, followed by Bojack Horseman and Vinland Saga.
