The much-awaited sequel of the cult horror film Tumbbad is generating significant buzz even before the production work starts. Sohum Shah’s Tumbbad 2 has finally found a prominent face to feature in the cast of the film, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to join the cast of the horror sequel. The production work of the sequel is expected to begin very soon, and the buzz around the film is increasing rapidly. 

Tumbbad 2: Nawazuddin Siddiqui Joins Sohum Shah’s Cult Sequel

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has joined Tumbbad 2 in what is being described as a pivotal role. While the makers have not revealed details about his character, reports suggest that he will play a pivotal role in shaping the emotional and psychological layers of the sequel.

Sharing pictures with Nawazuddin on Instagram, Sohum Shah, the director of the film wrote, “We are pleased to announce that one of the finest actor of our time Nawazuddin Siddqui has joined Tumbbad 2.” As soon as the post was shared people started commenting saying “This will be epic” and “Going to be crazy” and many more.

 Nawazuddin Siddiqui Will Be Playing Major Role in Tumbbad 2

As per reports by IANS, Nawazuddin spoke about his decision to join the film. He shared that he always admired Tumbbad for its originality and atmospheric storytelling. When Sohum Shah narrated the vision for the sequel, he was impressed by the story and immediately wanted to be part of the journey. He also expressed excitement about working with Sohum Shah and Pen Studios on such a large-scale project.

Makers Express Confidence

Sohum Shah, who is also the producer and actor, seemed to be very happy about the news of Nawazuddin joining the crew. He stated that the actor has a certain intensity and authenticity in his acting, which he brings to all his characters. 

Jayantilal Gada, the producer of Pen Studios, seemed to be very happy about the news of Nawazuddin joining the crew. He stated that Pen Studios always tries to deliver meaningful content, and the news of Nawazuddin joining the crew seemed to be a perfect fit.

Tumbbad 2 is being directed by Sohum Shah, and the project is being produced under Sohum Shah Films in association with Pen Studios. The original Tumbbad has already achieved cult status for its blend of horror, folklore, and greed. And now, with the inclusion of Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the sequel, the stakes are even higher.

Tumbbad is a Hindi horror fantasy film directed by Rahi Anil Barve and co-directed by Adesh Prasad. Released in 2018, the film is produced by Sohum Shah. The movie is a mix of fantasy and greed elements, set against the backdrop of pre-Independence India.
