Months before his passing, Eric Dane recorded a deeply emotional final interview for Netflix, delivering a heartfelt message to his teenage daughters in which he urged them to live fully and stay resilient. Filmed in November 2025 for the series Famous Last Words and kept private until its posthumous release, the interview gained poignant significance after the actor died on February 19 following a prolonged battle with ALS.

At the end of the interview, Eric addressed his teenage daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 14, "Billie and Georgia, these words are for you. I tried. I stumbled sometimes, but I tried. Overall, we had a blast, didn’t we?" "I see you now playing in the ocean for hours, my water babies. Those days, pun intended, were heaven. I want to tell you four things I’ve learned from this disease, and I hope you don’t just listen to me. I hope you’ll hear me," Eric further added.

In his emotional final message, he shared four pieces of heartfelt advice, all rooted in the importance of learning to live fully in the present moment. Reflecting candidly on his own journey, he admitted that he had spent far too much of his life consumed by self-pity, shame, and lingering doubts, often replaying past decisions in his mind and endlessly second-guessing himself. He spoke about the deep regret he feels over allowing worry and fear to overshadow moments that could have been lived with greater peace and joy. Through this reflection, he encouraged his daughters to break free from the cycle of overthinking, embrace life as it unfolds and find the strength to move forward with confidence, resilience and self-belief.

Eric also told his daughters they'd both inherited his strength and resiliency. "I bounce right up, and I keep coming back… I hope I've demonstrated that you can face anything. You can face the end of your days. You can face hell with dignity. Fight girls, and hold your heads high… Billie and Georgia, you are my heart. You are my everything. Good night. I love you. Those are my last words," said the actor.
