Alongside Jisoo, the series features Doom at Your Service and Café Minamdang star Seo In-guk as Park Kyeong-nam, Mi-rae’s colleague and rival webtoon producer. Boyfriend On Demand centres on a futuristic device and app that lets users 'order their ideal boyfriend through a virtual dating system. What begins as a playful technological fix for loneliness soon spirals into emotional chaos as the lines between reality and virtual relationships start to blur.

Jisoo plays Mi-rae, a woman seeking a second chance at love by stepping into a virtual reality programme called Monthly Boyfriend. The trailer offers glimpses into her daily life, showing how she escapes into a series of dream-like virtual dates, choosing romantic fantasy over real-world connections.

However, in reality, there is just one man she repeatedly crosses paths with — Kyeong-nam, played by Seo In-guk, her overtime work buddy and rival. As Mi-rae navigates her virtual adventures, a slow-burn and more grounded romance begins to develop between the two, challenging her perception of what truly makes a perfect match.
