The situation in the Middle East remains volatile, with attacks by the United States, Israel, and Iran escalating on February 28, 2026. Several countries in the Gulf region have witnessed explosions, and flight services have been suspended. However, during this critical hour, there are several Indians stuck in the region. Bengali actress Subhashree Ganguly and her young son are stuck in Dubai.

The popular Bengali actress Subhashree Ganguly had travelled to Dubai for a vacation along with her son. However, as the Israel–Iran conflict began to intensify, the flights were suspended, leaving them stranded in Dubai.

This news was confirmed by her husband, film director-turned-politician Raj Chakraborty, during a media conversation. He informed the public that his wife, Subhashree Ganguly and his son are safe inside a hotel. Nevertheless, they are worried about when the flights will be operational so they can head back home. The couple is also blessed with a baby girl who was born in the year 2023. Raj Chakraborty is also an MLA who represents the All India Trinamool Congress party from Barrackpore.

Other Indians and Celebrities Also Affected

Subhashree is not the only Indian who is currently going through this crisis situation. Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan is also currently stuck in Dubai due to the suspension of flights. Moreover, former MLAs of the state of Madhya Pradesh, Sanjay Shukla and Vishal Patel, are also reportedly stuck in Dubai.

There have been reports that Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha have seen explosions on the second consecutive day. According to Iran’s state news agency, Islamic Republic News Agency, the city of Tehran has seen around 60 attacks in the past 24 hours, resulting in the deaths of at least 57 people.
