TGPSC Recruitment 2026: TGPSC, in its recent updates, has mandated that all registered candidates need to update their One Time Registration (OTR) before applying for future exams. Through this, the Commission will verify details of the candidates ahead of the new job cycle.
The OTR updation window was opened on January 19 and was scheduled to close on February 9, 2026. But the Commission extended the deadline to February 25, allowing candidates sufficient time to review and correct their details. Registered candidates have to log in to the portal at tgpsc.gov.in to update and verify their credentials before the forthcoming recruitment exams.

What Is OTR?
The One Time Registration (OTR) is a candidate profile containing details like personal, educational, and category information. This information is used by the TGPSC as the primary data source for the recruitment process. The TGPSC conducts multiple government job recruitment processes for Group I, II, III, and IV positions in Telangana.
The OTR facilitates a more efficient application process. In light of recent updates, including changes to Scheduled Caste classifications, new educational requirements, and frequent requests from candidates for corrections, the Commission has highlighted the importance of updating and verifying OTR information before accepting any new applications.
TGPSC OTR Updation 2026: Editable Fields
Candidates can update and verify the following details during the OTP updations if required:
1. Personal Information: Name, Date of Birth, Gender, and Address
2. Educational Qualifications and Additional credentials
3. Category Details: EWS and Non-Cremy Layer Status
4. Contact Details: Mobile Number and Email Address
All other fields will remain uneditable and will be considered final for the upcoming exam cycle.
The Telangana Public Service Commission has advised all candidates to complete their OTR updation before the window closes. No further requests or corrections will be entertained once the deadline passes. Candidates planning to apply for future jobs under the TGPSC must complete their OTR verification process through the official website.
