UPSC CSE 2025 Topper Story: Anuj Agnihotri today became a national inspiration. He is from Rawatbhata in Rajasthan, a town known for its nuclear power facilities. Despite hailing from a small town, he developed a strong academic foundation and completed an MBBS degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur in 2023.
What made his journey inspiring was that, despite having a medical career, he chose to prepare for UPSC to serve the nation through public administration. His journey from a doctor to a UPSC topper reflected his academic excellence and dedication over the years.

Educational Background Of UPSC CSE 2025: Anuj Agnihotri
Anuj Agnihotri did his early education in Rawatbhata, Rajasthan. He studied in Atomic Energy Central School during his school years. Later, he went to Kota for his senior secondary education. He secured admission to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur.
His inclination towards serving the nation made him choose the UPSC path instead of continuing with a career in medicine. For this, he joined DANICS as part of his administrative journey.

What Motivated Him To Give UPSC CSE Exam 2025?
In his interview, Anuj reiterated that despite medicine being a fulfilling career, he is always motivated by the dynamic and diverse nature of the Civil Service Exams. His conviction to work for varied domains across government and public services motivated him to attempt the UPSC CSE exam.
UPSC Topper 2025 Anuj Agnihotri Optional Subject
Having a medical background, Anuj chose Medical Science as his optional subject for the UPSC Mains examination. His strong knowledge and expertise in medical subjects, along with consistent practice, helped him to clear the optional papers with flying colors. This improved his overall marks in the UPSC CSE, contributing to the first rank.
