ICSE Class 10 Robotics & AI Exam 2026: The ICSE Class 10 Board Examination for Robotics & Artificial Intelligence (Group III Elective, Section B) was successfully held on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The 2-hour paper carried 80 marks and covered a wide range of topics from the prescribed CISCE syllabus. Overall, the paper was rated moderate in difficulty, with most students feeling confident about completing it within time.
The question paper was well-balanced, testing both theoretical understanding and applied knowledge of robotics and AI concepts.
Section-Wise Paper Breakdown: What Was Asked?
The paper was divided into two sections of 40 marks each.
Section-wise Analysis:
Section A was largely easy to moderate and focused on foundational concepts. Questions tested understanding of:
1. Sensors and actuators
2. The Turing Test
3. Deterministic vs probabilistic computing
4. Basic Python logic and simple code tracing
5. Students with conceptual clarity would have found this section straightforward.
Section B demanded stronger Python practice. The questions were application-oriented and tested practical understanding rather than theoretical recall. Students who had practised coding regularly would have found this section manageable.

Students React After Paper — Mixed Feelings Outside Exam Hall
After the exam concluded at 1 PM, students gathered outside their centres, sharing their experiences. Aarav Mehta from Mumbai said, "Section A was smooth, but the neural network question in Section B took me some time."Priya Nair from Kochi felt relieved: "I had practised Arduino projects thoroughly, so that part was fine for me."Rohan Sharma from Delhi added, "The paper was fair overall — nothing was out of the syllabus. I'm hoping for 70+."Sneha Das from Kolkata mentioned, "The AI ethics question was unexpected but interesting to write about." Most students left the examination hall with smiles, expressing cautious optimism about their results.
Expert Faculty Detailed Analysis:
As per th Prateik Sharma, Professor, Computer Science & AI Academics Foundation, PhysicsWallah (PW) The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. It was well-balanced and not overly tough, making it manageable for students who had prepared consistently.
ICSE Class 10 Computer Applications: Overall Analysis
The 2026 paper successfully prioritised logic and application over rote memorisation, staying perfectly aligned with the official specimen pattern. It offered a balanced mix of theoretical concepts and practical programming, ensuring a fair experience for all students.
The exam’s student-friendly difficulty suggests strong scoring potential across the board. While average students can expect 70–80 marks, those with a solid grasp of programming logic are well-positioned to cross the 95+ mark.
The exam rewarded conceptual clarity and hands-on Python practice rather than memorisation. Overall difficulty remained moderate, making it a fair assessment of students’ understanding and practical skills.
