CBSE CTET 2026 Exam:  The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 on February 7 and 8 in two shifts. CTET is a national-level exam conducted annually to assess the teaching aptitude and essential skills required for teaching positions in Classes 1 to 8. 

The exam will have two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is for the primary level (Classes 1–5) and Paper II for the upper primary level (Classes 6–8). Those who qualify CTET can apply for teaching jobs in central government schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and many private schools.

Candidates who have registered for CTET 2026 must download the CTET admit card from ctet.nic.in, released on February 6. Check all the details mentioned on it carefully. Carry your admit card along with a government-issued ID to the examination centre. Entry will be barred without the admit card.

CTET 2026 Exam: Exam Shift And Timings

CBSE will conduct the 21st edition of the CTET exam for Papers 1 and 2 in two shifts, morning and afternoon. Candidates are advised to verify their exam details on the admit cards as per their shift timings. Check below for details regarding shift timings for Papers 1 and 2.

CTET 2026 Exam: Checklist of Documents For Exam Day

Candidates going to appear for the CTET 2026 tomorrow must bring the following documents with them to the examination centre:

1. CTET Admit Card: Bring a printout copy of the admit card. No digital copies will be accepted.

2. Government-issued ID: Bring any one of the following government issued ID: 

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Voter ID

  • Passport

  • Driving Licence

  • PAN Card

The name on the ID proof must match the name mentioned on the CTET admit card. 

3. Photograph: Carry two recently clicked coloured photographs, same as the ones uploaded. 

4. Caste Certificates (If Applicable): Bring all the relevant certificates duly attested by the authorities. 

CTET 2026: Exam Day Guidelines

Here are some CTET exam day guidelines that you must follow to avoid any inconvenience during the exam. 

1. Try reaching the exam centre at least half an hour before the reporting time. 

2. Look for their roll numbers and occupy their allocated seats only.

3. Avoid bringing any electronic devices such as mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, and earbuds to the examination hall. Possession of such things may result in the cancellation of candidature. 

4. Avoid talking and sharing stuff once the exam starts. 

5. Do not leave the exam hall without the permission of the invigilator. 

6. Follow all exam day instructions posted on the official website.
