CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Exam Analysis 2026: CBSE Class 12 Chemistry paper is now over. Students and experts have analysed the exam and rated it as moderately difficult, with questions equally balanced. The questions mainly tested students’ concept clarity and were aligned with the NCERT syllabus. Some suggested that they had difficulty managing time while juggling between physical, organic, and inorganic chemistry.
CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Exam Analysis 2026: Overall Difficulty Level
The Chemistry paper is divided into three sections, namely, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry. Each section has a varied difficulty level.
The questions were well-balanced. While Physical Chemistry was lengthy, students with a good grasp of concepts found the paper highly scoring and manageable.

CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Exam Analysis 2026: Students’ Feedback
Students suggested that the questions were asked directly from the syllabus and were well structured.
Aditya Singhal, from an exam centre in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, said, “I found Section C slightly lengthy. The case-study questions were moderate. Time management was very important in today’s exam.”
Riya Sharma, from Mayur Vihar, New Delhi, said, “The paper was easy overall. Physical Chemistry had a few tricky numerical questions, but the Inorganic and Organic sections were quite manageable. The paper was NCERT-based.”
CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Exam Analysis 2026: Expert’s Analysis
Subject experts have analysed the paper and said that it was moderately easy. Shalini Gupta, Subject matter expert of Lancers Army Schools Said “The Chemistry Board exam was overall moderate to easy. Most questions were directly based on the prescribed syllabus. The paper covered key topics like organic chemistry, electrochemistry, and chemical kinetics.”
She further added, “The numerical problems were manageable, with clear guidelines and familiar patterns. Theoretical questions required some analytical thinking. The questions on chemical bonding, coordination compounds, and p-block elements were straightforward”.
