Bihar Government Education Policy: The Bihar government is introducing stricter regulations for coaching institutes, emphasising discipline, transparency, and the welfare of students. The move comes amid the ongoing controversy involving Faisal Khan, founder of Khan Global Studies, and Raushan Anand, founder of Gyan Bindu Coaching, which has sparked widespread debate in Bihar's coaching sector.
According to the new directives, all coaching institutes will now have to share details of enrolled students with the respective district administration. Coaching centres will also be prohibited from operating during regular school and college teaching hours, although students who have already completed their formal education will be exempt from this provision.
The information regarding the proposed coaching regulations was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, highlighting the government's commitment to ensuring quality education, transparency, and discipline across the state's education system.

Student Information to Be Shared with District Administration
Under the fresh directives, every coaching institute will be required to maintain records of students and furnish their details to the concerned district administration. The government believes that the move will help improve monitoring of private educational institutions and bring greater accountability to the sector.
Coaching Centres Barred During School Hours
The state government has directed that coaching institutes should not function during the prescribed teaching hours of schools and colleges. However, the restriction will not apply to students who have already completed their regular school or college education. The Education Department has been tasked with preparing detailed regulations for implementation.
Focus on Discipline and Quality Education
The latest decision comes at a time when tensions between Khan Sir's Khan Global Studies and Raushan Anand's Gyan Bindu Coaching have dominated headlines. Police investigations and legal proceedings related to the controversy have intensified public attention on Bihar's coaching ecosystem.
Against this backdrop, the government says its primary objective is to protect students' interests and ensure a disciplined, transparent, and quality-oriented educational environment in the state.
