Delhi Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that the national capital is set to experience cold wave conditions starting Tuesday, December 9, with conditions likely to continue for the whole week. According to the latest forecast, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 24 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will drop to 8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the national capital’s air quality improved on Tuesday, dipping to 293, placing it in the ‘poor’ category at 7 AM, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

Delhi Weather Today

Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) woke up to a misty and hazy morning. However, the skies are expected to remain clear throughout the day. The India Meteorological Department has forecast that surface winds are likely to pick up speed, ranging between 15 and 25 kmph during the daytime.

The winds are expected to bring winter chill, with the maximum temperature expected to remain around 24 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will drop to 8 degrees Celsius today. The minimum temperature is expected to remain between 8-11 degrees Celsius until Wednesday.

Delhi Weather Forecast

The weather department has forecast light fog in the mornings of December 10 and 11, while the skies are expected to remain cloudy between December 12 and 14. The minimum temperature is likely to drop further, reaching near 6 degrees Celsius on December 11 and 12. Wind speeds during this entire period are forecast to be moderate, ranging between 5 and 25 kmph.

Delhi AQI Today

Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) improved to 293 on Tuesday, placing it in the 'poor' category as of 7 AM, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). This marks an improvement compared to the past few days, when the city was in the 'very poor' category, with Monday's 24-hour average AQI recorded at 314.
